Erica has been dancing since the age of 3. Her mom often tells the story that Erica would tap dance with her grandfather's shoes in front of the TV for hours. She has always had a passion to dance. At the age of 5 Erica's mom enrolled her in the New Experience Dance School where she learned her dance skills and techniques. Erica has received the "Dancer of the Year" award many times in her dance career.

 Erica continued at the dance school her whole childhood until she got accepted to the High School of Performing Arts in Brooklyn, New York. As an adult with 4 children her passion to dance has increased even more as she began to teach her daughter Alaijah Archer at a young age. The two have performed together several times. After many engagements she was asked to teach at several churches and community organizations. This is when Erica gave herself to the Lord. God gave her the vision of A Move of God Dance School and it's sister school Destined to Dance Performing Arts Center which is based in Freeport, New York where she continues to teach children.
